Scoala noastra

Evolutia economica accentuata din anii '70 a dus la cresterea numarului de locuitori si a populatiei scolare din Aiud. Iata de ce se decide construirea unei scoli generale in cartierul Microraion III.

Lucrarile au demarat in 1970, scoala primind primii elevi in septembrie 1973. Timp de 20 de ani ea va functiona sub numele de "Scoala Generala nr. 3" Aiud.

In toamna lui 1993 cand orasul a sarbatorit 700 de ani de atestare documentara, scoala a primit numele marelui tribun de la 1848, Axente Sever.

Din 2 octombrie 1993 scoala se numeste "Scoala cu cls I-VIII, Axente Sever",in amintirea celui care a fost colaborator apropiat al lui Avram Iancu si luptator pentru emanciparea romanilor transilvaneni.

Founded in 1970, the school functioned 20 years under the name The General School Number 3. In the autumn of 1993 when the town celebrated 700 years of documentary certification, the school received the name of the great tribune Axente Sever .

From October the 2nd 1993 the school` s name is The Primary and Lower Secondary School Axente Sever, in memory of the one who was a close helper of Avram Iancu and fighter for the emancipation of the Transylvanian Romanians.

Since September 2012 our school is now named The Gymnasium Axente Sever.
